Loan camp for aspiring entrepreneurs in Dindigul

Under the Tamil Nadu Women Entrepreneurs Empowerment Scheme (TWEES), women can obtain a 25% subsidy for manufacturing, service and trading enterprises.

A subsidised loan camp will be held at the Dindigul Collectorate on Friday, District Collector Durgamoorthy has said. He urged aspiring entrepreneurs from the district to benefit from the schemes.

The camp will facilitate loans with government subsidies for entrepreneurs under various schemes.

Under the Tamil Nadu Women Entrepreneurs Empowerment Scheme (TWEES), women can obtain a 25% subsidy for manufacturing, service and trading enterprises. The Kalaignar Kaivinai Thittam (KKT) offers a 25% subsidy to entrepreneurs seeking to establish or expand handicraft businesses.

Under the Unemployed Youth Employment Generation Programme (UYEGP), trading enterprises are eligible for a 25% subsidy. The New Entrepreneur-cum-Enterprise Development Scheme (NEEDS) provides a 25% subsidy for new manufacturing and service enterprises.

The Annal Ambedkar Business Champions Scheme (AABCS), exclusively for Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe entrepreneurs, offers a 35% subsidy for manufacturing, service and trading enterprises.

The Prime Minister’s Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP) provides subsidies ranging from 15% to 35% for manufacturing and service enterprises, while the Pradhan Mantri Formalisation of Micro Food Processing Enterprises Scheme (PMFME) offers a 35% subsidy for food-processing businesses.

Applicants attending the camp should bring the documents required for bank loans, including Aadhaar and PAN cards, a copy of their bank passbook, ration card, transfer certificate (TC), quotation and passport-size photographs.

Those planning to start new businesses can also attend the camp.
