A mega private sector job fair for 2026-2027 was organised at Meenakshi Ramasamy College in Thathanur on Friday by the Tamil Nadu State Rural Livelihoods Mission and the District Employment and Career Guidance Centre.

More than 100 leading companies participated in the fair, organised to benefit educated unemployed youth from rural and urban areas of the district. Recruitment interviews were conducted for over 10,000 vacancies.
A key highlight of the event was the distribution of appointment orders to eligible candidates who cleared the selection process. Ariyalur MLA Rajendran and Jayankondam MLA Vaithilingam handed over the appointment orders to the successful candidates.

The job fair provided employment opportunities to a large number of young people from economically weaker and middle-income families, bringing cheer to job seekers and their families in the region.
